Garden Day 2021 celebrated a milestone for the Potomac Triangle Parks Reclamation Project. This event was the culmination of the transformation of neglected public parks into more attractive, equitable, usable and safer green spaces.

Naomi Mitchell and Aquarius Vann-Ghasri were instrumental in making Garden Day 2021 a reality.
Courtney won the "Miss Rumphius" hardcover book donated by the Rumphius Foundation for the raffle.
The Metropolitan Police Department gave out popsicles and snacks.
The Naval Lodge Masons brought their grill and served up hot dogs and cold drinks.
Frank Muhammad delivered a hopeful message surrounded by the Brothas Huddle crew.
Mobile artist Sketch drew Garden Day celebrants.
Guerrilla Gardeners volunteer Dustin gave out t-shirts.
DJ Derrick rocked the house.
Rumphius Intern Dayshaun chilled out with a friend.
United Planning Organization distributed helpful information.
Custom cupcakes were created by Lisa at the Jenkins Row Harris Teeter.
People and pets alike enjoyed the festivities.
